Six years prior to the formation of the present Association, an attempt was made in August 1880 to form a Scottish Junior FA. Of the 48 clubs which sent in for membership, 30 were admitted, 6 refused, 4 withdrew their application, 5 didn't send in the required particulars and 3 were expelled. Based primarily in the Glasgow and district area, this Scottish JFA, like its successor also ran a Scottish Junior Cup competition before apparently disbanding at the end of the season. Shown below are the known results of this long forgotten competition.
