The
Inverness Junior League was founded
in 1950 and folded after the 1952-53 season.
The
remaining teams were Hill Rovers, Nelson, Craig Dunean,
Merkinch Rangers, Culeabock
Athletic and AN Other. Hill Rovers actually remained
in the Scottish Junior FA for another two years playing in the Scottish Junior
Cup and when the hoped-for Junior league didn't re-form, they opted to joined
the North of Scotland 2nd XI League,
which later became the North Caledonian
League.
