Dumbartonshire Junior League

This county league existed prior to WWI and also included clubs from outwith the county.

The first mention of a Dumbartonshire Junior League was when it was reported that a meeting in the South Side Room at the Public Hall in Renton had decided to send out invitations to eight clubs. The competition probably didn't start.

The next time the league formed was at a meeting at the Central Station Hotel in Glasgow on 3 June 1898 but by the end of the season the fixtures were incomplete and no champion declared.

A failed attempt at re-forming the league came in 1902 and it was a year later when a meeting in July 1903 saw nine clubs enter for the 1903-04 season. The league disbanded in 1907 before being resurrected as a supplementary league in July 1910, its clubs were also members of other leagues. The league disbanded for the final time in 1913.
