Banffshire Cup

The Banffshire FA was
formed on 11 Oct 1890 at a meeting of clubs at the Longmore Hall in Keith. Mr A
Davidson of the town's Commercial Hotel donated a silver cup which was made by
watchmaker J Herd of Keith for a competition between the association's clubs
which was won by Keith. The Association purchased a new trophy in November 1891
for the second competition which was also won by Keith. The FA then appeared to
lapse. It was re-formed in 1908 and a trophy was donated by Mr Munro of the
Gordon Arms Hotel in Keith.
